Nobel Laureate Economist Milton Friedman argues against socialized healthcare back in 1978. Now that ‘Obamacare’ has partially nationalized healthcare, the IRS will be involved in administering healthcare in the US. This is the same IRS that targets conservative groups and punishes them be ignoring requests while harassing others with audits. Is this a good thing?

One option to strip away the ability to harass tax payers would be to change the tax code to a flat tax or a national sales tax. A simple an equitable code would mean that loopholes, special exemptions, tired tax rates, etc. could no longer be used as weapons against the people. Is this a viable option. Do you know of other ways keep politicians and the tax man from abusing their power?
